Never mind the April showers, Spring has (technically) sprung, and there’s lots to be getting excited about at Mr Hobbs Gin.
It was a typically long and cold Winter but luckily it gave us the perfect excuse to hunker down and start working on what is currently a very, top secret, new project involving (drum roll) another Mr Hobbs Gin product. Now we can’t say too much for the time being but just know that there are tastings, designs and launches being worked on this very second and we can’t wait to update you with more juicy details.
To make sure you never miss a nugget of our news, and to keep in the loop with the upcoming announcements, please do head over to our website and make sure you subscribe to our newsletter using the box at the bottom of the page- anyone who signs up between now and the end of April will be in with a chance of winning a bottle of our ever popular Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur. (Winner announced: 30th April).
There’s some very cool events taking place over the next few weeks and months in our Hobbs of Henley Public River Cruises calendar. The 7th June SELL OUT Gin, Craft Beer & Jazz Cruise is having a new date added 2nd August, this will be on the website where you can book tickets. There is also some availability for the Gin & Fizz Cruises we run throughout the year, these feature a rather quaffable choice of (you guessed it!) Gin & Fizz along with unrivalled scenic views of the world-famous Regatta course. Our friends at The Gin To My Tonic are back again in 2019 aboard The New Orleans, ready to impart their industry expert knowledge on you, if you book on the fun and informative Gin Tasting Cruises on one of the many dates between now and Christmas. Not to be missed!
We’ve recently joined forces with Hotel Du Vin in Henley and will be doing various ventures this Summer, including a Mr Hobbs Gin bar in their stunning courtyard garden throughout Regatta with added boat trip bonuses available to their guests. We are particularly looking forward to sampling some local delicacies from their prix fixe Spring Menu, you’ll find some Mr Hobbs Gin featured in some unexpected places. Keep an eye out for that.
If gastronomic delights tickle your fancy then you will have heard of and most likely attended Blenheim Palace Food Festival which was listed as one of the top 10 food festivals in the world of late. This year we are proud to announce we will be making our inaugural appearance at the event and we cannot wait to spend the weekend in the stunning grounds, sharing our cherished family tipple with the expected 26,000 visitors, and kicking off the food festival season in style.
Pub in The Park Marlow tickets have gone on sale, which means you’ve probably already bagged yourself a session down there for the ‘gourmet food, cracking music and lush vibes’. You may or may not realise you can also jump aboard Hobbs of Henley’s Hibernia boat whilst you’re there for a mini gin tasting cruise as part of the experience. All you need to do is book tickets online and we will very much look forward to welcoming you with a sample of three different gins and a 35ml gin and tonic, all on the beautiful, tranquil waters of the river Thames. We’ll also be situated within The Artisan Food & Drink Market at Pub in The Park Chiswick which is based at the beautiful grounds of Chiswick House & Gardens 6-8 September.
Fingers crossed for lots of beautiful sunshine, many large G&T’s and a sumptuous Spring for one and all.
