They think it’s all over, it is now!
As the parents rejoice, and the kiddiewinks head back into full time education, we know that the sunniest season is drawing to a close.
There’s still lots on the Mr Hobbs Gin agenda to keep us out of trouble though. September has many delights in store even if the weatherman doesn’t.
First up, Pub in the Park; Chiswick Edition 6th-8th Sept. All five sessions of this marvellous weekend event are absolutely aching with opportunity. Bringing together brilliant food, live music and Michelin-starred chefs all served up in the beautiful setting of Chiswick House & Grounds, making for the ultimate pub garden unlike any other. Not only does the festival bring you mouth-watering dishes from the likes of Tom Kerridge’s The Hand & Flowers, Heston Blumenthal’s The Hind’s Head and Atul Kochhar’s Hawkyns, you’ll also get to watch live cooking demos from top chefs including Rick Stein, Claude Bosi and Monica Galetti. Whilst enjoying the great food from their pop-up pubs and drinks from their huge range of bars, head to the main stage for live music from Texas, Clean Bandit, Razorlight, Scouting for Girls, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and loads more. We’ll be there in The Artisan Food & Drink Market so please do pop by and give us a wave.
Then we have the showstopping, and newly renamed, Henley Farm & Country Show 14th Sept. A literal stone throw away from the town centre, this is one of our faves year after year. Always fun to see those familiar faces and welcome new friends from further afield. Plus it’s not every day you can witness sheep dog trials, enjoy a good old fashioned ploughing match or even hob nob with the Aldabra Giant Tortoises from the Seychelles. I mean, you literally couldn’t have dreamt up a more varied event. You’ll find us in The Food & Drink Tent with Mr Hobbs Gin products aplenty.
Once we’ve had a chance to catch our breath after those two, we will be venturing over to our neighbouring county of Berkshire for The Royal County of Berkshire Show 21st-22nd September. This shall be our inaugural appearance at this particular event and one of the biggest we will have attended this year. Looking forward to meeting other boutique brands and sampling one another’s handiwork. They have their own set of eclectic demonstrations happening throughout the weekend including the FMX Motorbike Display Team who will be performing death-defying stunts as well as the rather regal sounding ‘Grand Parade of Livestock’ and ‘Forage Pageant’. One not to miss, I’m sure you’ll concur.
Hot off the press and making their debut at the above events are our Giftboxed Miniature 5cl Mr Hobbs Gin and Fruit Flavoured Gin Liqueurs. Little in size but large on looks, we can’t wait for you to see them! They are the perfect opportunity to sample the Mr Hobbs Gin collection in their bijou bottles and make a stunning gift. All three products come in a beautiful, trademark navy blue presentation box with gold foiled logo.
Hold on to your gin and tonics, it’s going to be quite the month.
Must dash, no time to dilly-dally, Mr Hobbs Gin.
